This second volume of the Private Pilot English Manual, written by Joël Molac and Yves Rengade, is designed to enable private pilots to acquire the skills necessary to effectively use aeronautical information during the preparation and execution of flights, presented in various written forms such as field sheets, NOTAMS, TAFS & METARS, as well as PIREPS.
It is structured in five sections:

- A wide selection of English and American NOTAMs, classified by category and accompanied by explanatory notes.
- Numerous examples of TAFS, METARS & PIREPS, presented in both coded and plaintext form, thus allowing readers to practice decoding and acquire a perfect mastery of this data.
- Detailed instructions for properly completing a VFR flight plan in the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States, as well as guidance from the CAA and FAA for requesting a pre-flight briefing.
- A glossary of abbreviations used in British and American aviation documentation.
