The customer told Champion Aerospace that the standard oil filter height would make it difficult to install the filter in some engine applications.
Therefore, assuming that size really matters, they shortened the Champion oil filter element by 1/2 inch and added design improvements in the process, now making their filter stronger and more efficient than ever. Champion Aerospace's resin-impregnated full-layer micron filter media can capture all harmful particles, including metal chips due to abnormal engine wear. Since the oil will flow through many layers of adhesive fibers, there will be no migration of fibrous material that blocks the passage of engine oil or affects the work surface. According to industry-approved tests, Champion oil filters can capture and retain more dust and harmful particles than any other similar filter during normal working hours.
